01 // Everything else

Press and podcast appearances, work in print, records I played on, design jobs, and the events I’ve helped make happen.

Everything on this page is something I did that doesn’t have a home anywhere else on the site. Some of it is from this year. Some of it is from 2003 and only survives because of the Wayback Machine.

If you want the short version of what I actually do, the about page is the place to start. If you’re here for the podcasts, they live on shows. Talks and conference appearances have a page of their own.

Roughly reverse chronological throughout. Dead links go to the Wayback Machine where I’ve found a copy.

06 // Events & collectives

Things organised with other people. Twenty-odd years of finding the others.

London · 2024

Open Croissant

A fringe event on Autonomous Worlds, run alongside ETHGlobal London by a London group chat with unusual escape velocity.

I also produced Floating Worlds, the 56-page journal we handed out on the day.

Nomadic talk series · 2012-2014

The Thought Menu

A DIY nomadic talk series I co-founded in the summer of 2012. Fifteen minutes each, five of them for questions, a bell to keep everyone honest.

Informal by design, and built to break down the barrier between the speaker and the room.

DIY collective · 2003

Geekscene DIY Collective

A DIY collective from the very beginning of all this. The only surviving copy of the site is a Wayback Machine capture from November 2003.

Proof, if any were needed, that I have always been like this.
